Team Brady today proudly announces the launch of Race for Change, a new platform that unites the efforts of Team Brady, its partners, and fans to advance sustainable solutions, promote equal opportunities, and protect marine environments.
Team Owner Tom Brady said: "At Team Brady, we don’t just race to win, we race to lead, and that means driving change both on and off the water. Race For Change is a movement that brings together our team, our partners, and our fans to create real-world impact through the power of sport. With some incredible partners, we’re taking action where it matters most and I’m proud to be at the forefront of it all."
A sports partnership that delivers real world impact
In a partnership that redefines the role of sponsorship in sport, 4ocean Foundation will remove 100kilograms of plastic waste from the ocean for every point Team Brady earns during the 2025 season. This unique performance-linked model delivers a direct and visible environmental impact. The number is purposeful, with 100kgs being the average amount of plastic waste generated per person each year. With Team Brady currently on 104 points and a total of 42 points available each race weekend the scale of the impact is clear, and gives the team even more motivation to win.
Beyond this commitment, as founding partner of Race for Change, 4ocean Foundation will work alongside Team Brady to deliver impactful initiatives, including ocean and coastal clean ups and educational campaigns. 4ocean Foundation is a non profit dedicated to cleaning our ocean, rivers, and coastlines by removing plastic and other pollutants. As the charitable arm of 4ocean Public Benefit and Certified B-Corporation, the Foundation expands impact through philanthropy and tax-deductible giving, complementing the 4ocean product-driven model. Together, they’ve removed over 42 million pounds of plastic and debris from the world’s waters and strive to protect the ocean for generations to come.
Co-Team Principals Ben King and Joe Sturdy said: “We’re very proud to launch Race for Change. We believe sport has the power to accelerate progress, raise awareness, and unite people around global challenges like ocean health and sustainability. Partnering with 4ocean Foundation allows us to turn every race into a force for good. It’s very cool that every point we take home this year will have real world impact and every time we push for a podium, we’re also pushing for a cleaner ocean.”
Sustainable Innovation Across the Team
Race for Change is also powered by our network of partners for whom driving sustainability within their industries and in our sport is key
● Racing Force Group: creators of nearly 100% recyclable OMP race suits, using materials and production methods that minimise waste and extend product life.
● OCEANR: designers of our high-performance teamwear made from recycled polyester derived from post-consumer plastic. Their work has diverted over 1.5 million plastic bottles from entering the environment.
● Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT): a global leader in telematics whose data-driven solutions promote safer and more sustainable driving. Research shows that safer drivers can reduce fuel consumption by 5%, saving up to 238 litres of fuel per year.
