Team Brady's Winning Pilots Return for Season Two

Building on the Championship winning momentum, Team Brady announces multi-year extensions for pilots Sam Coleman and Emma Kimiläinen for Season Two and beyond. With sights set on defending their 'Champions of the Water' title, Team Brady aim to leverage the strengths of the pilot line-up to continue their success on the water.

Ben King and Joe Sturdy, Co-Team Principals of Team Brady said, “We are excited to announce that Sam Coleman and Emma Kimiläinen will continue with the team for Season Two of the E1 World Championship. Both pilots are incredibly dedicated and passionate, bringing a positive energy and strong chemistry to the team. We believe we have two of the most talented pilots on the grid, we’re confident as we move forward to defend our Championship title.

“Sam is known for his smooth, fast, and consistent racing style. With a keen analytical and technical approach, he provides invaluable feedback and strategic advice that drives the team’s performance. His ability to adapt to the ever-changing water conditions and understand the boat’s needs ensures he’s always in control, making him a crucial asset to the team.

“Emma is an exceptionally fast learner, excelling at everything she sets her mind to. Despite having no prior water racing experience, she quickly mastered the RaceBird and became one of the fastest drivers in the series. With an intuitive understanding of the boat's performance, Emma strikes the perfect balance of calm precision and aggressive drive when racing.”

Emma Kimiläinen, Team Brady Pilot said, “I’m super happy and honoured to continue my boat racing journey in E1 with Team Brady. It’s not only the winning team, but also the best team I’ve been part of, thanks to the highly talented individuals I get to work with. I’m also grateful for the support of Tom Brady and Peter Mattoon and our Co-Team Principals Ben King and Joe Sturdy. To compete alongside Sam next year is also super exciting, we are a dream team!

“Our journey so far has been incredible, and I can’t wait to see how the sport will continue to evolve. Personally, I’ve found my new passion in E1 as I’m able to challenge myself as an athlete whilst also tapping into my engineering brain to help develop and shape the future of the sport and the technology alongside my team.”

Sam Coleman, Team Brady Pilot added, “I’m excited to kick off Season Two with Team Brady after an incredible first season together. Competing alongside Emma again is something I’m really looking forward to—she’s an amazing teammate, and we’ve learned so much from each other. We know staying on top will take hard work, but we’re a competitive team, and we’re ready for the challenge. I’m fired up to build on our success from Season One and take on new, exciting locations around the world!”
